About
Lauren Cress is a young and aspiring freelance photographer from and based in Limerick, Ireland. Throughout her life, she has been able to live and travel across the globe, which, in turn, set the stage for her infinite desire to experience and learn about humanity. Lauren graduated from Connecticut College a year early with a B.A. in anthropology, a minor in dance, and a certificate in museum studies. She graduated from the University of Limerick in 2022 with a Master’s degree in Ethnochoreology.
Lauren considers photography a valuable tool that allows us to freeze a moment in time. She views photographers as essential to society, with their art form providing endless opportunities to make people smile or to tell a story. What she hopes to accomplish in her dance and event photography is to capture people in their realest and most vulnerable states. She delights in candid photography and how it brings out the "real" person. Through her work, Lauren hopes to take a deep dive into understanding the complexities of human relationships.
